FormuLab

About FormuLab

A cleaner way to study formulas.

FormuLab is a Montreal-built study tool for students who need formulas organized by subject, explained clearly, and ready when coursework gets dense.

Why it exists

Formula lookup should not feel like a scavenger hunt.

Engineering and science students spend too much time jumping between PDFs, lecture notes, textbook appendices, and half-organized browser tabs. FormuLab brings the formulas into one focused workspace so the important part stays visible: what the formula means and when to use it.

The goal is not to replace learning. The goal is to remove friction around the reference work students already do every week.

Useful before impressive

Every page should help a student get unstuck quickly. We prioritize clarity, fast lookup, and practical context over flashy interface tricks.

Built around real coursework

FormuLab is shaped by the way students actually study: switching subjects, checking assumptions, exporting notes, and revisiting formulas under pressure.

Open to correction

Formula content should be treated seriously. We want students and educators to flag mistakes, suggest better explanations, and help improve the library.

What we are building

A formula library that behaves like a study system.

  • Browse formulas by subject, topic, and category without digging through dense documents.
  • Open a topic page with the key equations, variables, assumptions, and examples in one place.
  • Export clean PDFs for revision sheets, assignments, and exam preparation.
  • Keep the experience lightweight, fast, and student-friendly instead of turning it into another bloated platform.

Location

Built in Montreal, shaped by students.

Montreal, Canada

The city has a dense mix of universities, technical programs, and engineering communities. That makes it a natural place to build a tool for students moving between lectures, labs, design projects, and exams.
